Pittie Please, Find A Cure Walk for Cystic Fibrosis

Please mark your calendars for Sunday, August 26th, and the 4th Annual Pittie Please, Find A Cure Walk, hosted by Good Deeds for Bullied Breeds and Save Our Shelter Dogs Rescue.  The members of Good Deeds for Bullied Breeds take every opportunity possible to show that a dog should be judged on his behavior, not on physical features, and they work to encourage responsible dog ownership. The walk works to dispel stereotypes of certain breeds as being vicious, while raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This is not just a walk, it’s a fundraising event that goes from 11AM to 3PM at England-Idlewild Park and Dog Park in Burlington, KY.  A representative from Good Deeds for Bullied Breeds tells me, “This year is definitely expected to be our biggest event yet with rescue/vendor booths, dogs for adoption, $25 microchipping, music, pet photography & caricatures, dog agility, concessions, and so much more!”

Pittie Please, Find a Cure Walk exhibits socialized dogs of all breeds!

Proceeds from the event will be shared between the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Save Our Shelter Dogs Rescue.  One of the founders of Good Deeds for Bullied Breeds received a necessary lung transplant last fall due to Cystic Fibrosis, with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation making her transplant possible!  Summer is coming to an end quickly, and this is the perfect way to spend a day outdoors while helping to save both human and canine lives!
