Mainstrasse Village Paw-rade and Wyoming Howling Pooch Parade
The 11th Annual Mainstrasse Village Pawrade will be held in Goebel Park from 1-5 PM on Sunday, October 28th. The day will be filled with dog activities, pet portraits, pet psychics, vendors, K-9 demonstrations, food, and drinks. The main event of the day is the costume contest and Pawrade, which marches along the 6th Street Promenade in Covington. There is a $5 registration fee for the costume contest and parade, with all registrants receiving a goodie bag. Three top prizes will be awarded for Best Original Costume, Best Store Bought Costume, and Best Theme Costume. Proceeds from this event will go to Friends of the Shelter and Rescue Angels. Help them continue to save shelter animals and one day make the dream that there will be no need for rescues a reality!
Wyoming Howling Pooch Parade and Halloween Hoopla
Another fun family event will be held in Wyoming on Sunday, October 28th, as well! The action will be at the Wyoming Civic Center as dogs participate in this annual costume event and parade, with registration at 1PM and the parade beginning at 2 PM. Dogs compete for prizes in categories including Best Costume, Best Dog Trick, Best Tail Wagger, and Best Float. This is an event for the whole family, filled with agility demonstrations, dog themed vendors, and games for both human and canine children.
The Howling Pooch Parade will be held in conjunction with the Halloween Hoopla from 1-4PM, where you can pick a pumpkin for $1 from the pumpkin patch to carve or paint. The pumpkin carving/decorating contest will be held at 3 pm for your chance to win a prize! Children will also be able to enjoy making a craft, listening to spooky music, navigating the Wyoming Police Association’s hay maze, and jumping on the inflatable! All proceeds from the events benefit Wyoming Youth Services
This is the last weekend before Halloween! Whether or not you have a furry friend at home, you can find plenty of entertainment at all of these events! Enjoy a safe and spooky Halloween!
