Grateful Dog Night at Wag’s Park

Wags Park in Newtown, OH is hosting a night of outdoor fun to benefit Recycled Doggies on Friday, August 17th, from 6PM to 11PM.  At the Grateful Dog Night, entertainment will be provided by Grateful Dead tribute band, The Spookfloaters.  Habanero’s Burrito Truck will be on site along with Hot Bretzels to fill up your tank after all of the calories you will burn from dancing!  You can pre-register with your dog by August 15th for only $10.  Party day registration is $15 for you and your pooch, or just $5 if you are solo.  This sounds like an easy and fun way to support a wonderful local rescue group.  Are you ready to head down to Shakedown Street to help Recycled Doggies continue in their mission to help amazing dogs put their best paw forward and find a forever home?

Feature Rescue: Clara

This little girl has lots of love to share!

Clara is a 3-5 year old Dachshund/Beagle mix who was sent to Recycled Doggies by another rescue who couldn’t adopt her out because she wasn’t purebred!  How could they not know that many people prefer the cute little mutts?!!  They have amazing temperaments and tend to be healthier.  Unlike many of the emaciated dogs who find their way to Recycled Doggies, Clara is really a little sausage – overfed and plenty to love! Clara is not only the perfect cuddle buddy, but she is great with other dogs and cats, too! Clara seems to have an issue with some men, but it is unpredictable, as she absolutely loves her foster dad. She would do best in a home with females unless you happen to be a male she ends up loving! Clara is a very sweet girl who deserves her very own happily ever after. We hope she finds it soon!
