Dog’s Night Out at Graeter’s!
Ice cream is a summer must have for me, and my dogs are usually at my feet waiting to lick the bowl clean if I happen to leave anything behind for them! On a recent trip to Graeter’s, I noticed an advertisement for their Dog’s Night Out. This event takes place the first Thursday of each month through September, from 6 PM to 9 PM. While you enjoy any of Graeter’s 20+ flavors of ice cream or one of their bakery treats, your lovable pooch can have a refreshing treat, too! Graeter’s Frosty Paws treat is a healthy frozen treat for your dogs, with no added sugar or artificial flavors or colors, and on Dog’s Night Out, your dog gets a free sample! So make sure you get to one or both of the remaining dates for Dog’s Night Out at a participating Graeter’s – August 2nd or September 6th! Call your local store to see if they are participating. Are you ready to celebrate the end of summer with two of your loves – your dog and ice cream?
Feature Rescue: Crockett
Our feature rescue this week is an elderly beagle who Save the Animals Foundation rescued from being euthanized at a shelter last week. Poor Crockett suffers from many health issues, including severe anemia, rotten and abscessed teeth, and worms. But STAF realized that Crockett deserved a better ending than what the shelter had planned and has already lined up a foster home as he is still being set on the right track to getting well. Crockett is already wagging his tail and barking with pleasure when he sees a volunteer who visits him daily. What a change a few days can make! When Crockett’s veterinary care is over, he will be looking for a quiet home, with someone who just wants to love him, tell him he is safe, and stroke his old head for as long as he wants! Do you or someone you know have a forever home for Crockett? For more information on Crockett or other dogs or cats in need of homes at STAF, click here. A big thank you to Diane Parsons for sharing Crockett’s story with us and to STAF for the work they do to save animals every day!
