Dog Days at Half Price Books
With the weather still on the chilly side, I have been digging deep for new and fun ideas to get the kids out of the house! One great option is to combine your child’s love of dogs with a little reading time… You can still make the last March date for Dog Days at Half Price Books in Fairfield Township! At these Dog Days events, your child is given the chance to read a book to Potter, the Bearded Collie, from 1 PM to 2 PM on Sunday, March 24th. This event is presented in partnership with Therapy Dogs International. TDI is a is a volunteer organization dedicated to regulating, testing and registration of therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers for the purpose of visiting nursing homes, hospitals, other institutions, and wherever else therapy dogs are needed. A therapy dog can do wonders to build reading skills and confidence in your child! If you are not in the Hamilton or Fairfield Township area, check out other Half Price Books for their Dog Days events!
Feature Rescue: Ginger Snap Dragon
“Ginger Snap Dragon” is a 1 year old femail Staffordshire Terrier/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Ginger is a playful girl, serving as the life of the party at her foster home! But not only is she playful, she is one smart pooch, already knowing the commands to “sit,” “give paw,” and “give other paw.” Ginger is great with other animals and with children, and would love a family and a fenced yard to party in! Please contact Paws and Claws Animal Rescue if you or someone you know may be interested in giving Ginger her forever home. Inquiries can be sent to pawsandclawsanimalrescue@gmail.com. Or visit their site to see other lovable animals in need of forever homes!
