One of my favorite things about this time of year is having a break from the scorching temperatures for one of my favorite pastimes, running.  If you or your lovable dingo are also a fan of running or walking, then you are going to want to mark your calendar for the inaugural Paw Joggers Rescue Run on Sunday, October 20th, at 10 AM. Boone County Pawapalooza and K9 5k Run/Walk

This Saturday, September 28th, the Boone County Animal Shelter is hosting the 2nd annual Pawapalooza.  The day begins at 8:30 AM at Idlewild Park in Burlington, KY where you can run or walk the K9 5K, with or without your cuddly companion.  Activities for the whole family continue from 10 AM to 6 PM at the Boone County Fairgrounds. On Saturday, August 10th, from 11 AM to 4PM, Northern Kentucky Bully Nation Education and Rescue will be hosting the 1st Annual Bully Palooza at Giles Conrad Park (7500 River Road in Hebron, KY.)  This fun filled event will be packed with activities for the whole family with proceeds benefitting the NKY Bully Nation. Does your favorite dingo like to enjoy taking a dip as well?  If so, you should head to Friends of Kenton Paw Park (3951 Madison Pike) in Covington this Saturday, June 15th, for their pool party! From 11 AM to 3 PM, your dingo can enjoy a romp in any of the baby pools located throughout dog park. Food and beverages as well as pet and people treats will be available. Animal Adoption Foundation’s Annual Yard Sale

If you love a great yard sale bargain like me, then you are going to want to head to the Animal Adoption Foundation in Hamilton (2480 Ross Millville Rd) for their annual yard sale this weekend! The sale will take place Friday and Saturday, June 7th and 8th, from 9 AM to 4 PM, and Sunday, June 9th, from 11 AM to 4 PM.  The Animal Adoption Foundation is a non-profit no-kill shelter for dogs and cats that have been abused or abandoned. Currently housing about 85 cats and dogs, AAF provides a safe and humane environment for them as they are waiting to be adopted. Proceeds from the yard sale will help the homeless pets at AAF.
